All across Alberta, the week of March 11-15 is set aside for Substitute Teacher Appreciation. This is just one week out of so many to say thank you to our amazing subsitute teachers for all they do for our kids, communities and the future.
We are thankful that our substitute teachers are there to embrace a new assignment each time they enter one of our buildings. It’s no small feat to come into a new classroom, jump into a random lesson plan, figure out classroom procedures and work with new students.
Not only do substitute teachers allow our teachers time to recover from colds, flus and other illnesses, they also give our teachers the opportunity to improve their skills by attending professional development conferences and workshops. Their role helps ensure our students receive a quality education.
As an integral part of our division, thank you to all our substitute teachers for the significant impact you have on our schools and students each day.
