There is no school for students on Monday, November 20, however our teachers and school staff will be busy at the division professional development day.

All teachers and program assistants will work through the same kinds of sessions, focusing on three areas: Literacy, Numeracy and Treaties.

Goals for staff learning about Literacy and Numeracy include:

• How Literacy and Numeracy are the foundation of our curriculum, across all grades and subjects
• How Literacy and Numeracy are integrated into every subject
• Ways to adapt daily work and language to enhance students’ Literacy and Numeracy capacity

Goals for staff learning about Treaties include:

• Develop an understanding of how Treaties came to be
• What Treaties mean today
• We are all Treaty people

In addition, all school office staff will spend the day at Regional Office focusing on school business processes.
