Citizenship Award Winner – Kale Neuman

June 27th, 2019

Kale Neuman is a Grade 6 student at Busby School and was nominated for the Citizenship Award by Teacher Jim Schaffer and Principal Angie Bachand. Kale demonstrates responsibility by consistently following school rules and promoting a positive school environment even when the adults in the building are not present. He consistently displays kindness and a positive attitude, able to find the silver lining in every situation. He is respectful and courteous, greeting his fellow students and adults in the school with a “good morning” and at the end of the day, he is sure to say goodbye.

Kale best displays his respect for others through his very natural ability to listen to others. Whether in class or in a less formal setting, Kale always has a well thought out comment or question when he engages in conversations with others. He also helps the younger students get suited up during the long winter months and volunteers to help clean up or organize different areas of the school. Kale is part of the sign crew, making sure that the Busby School sign is current. He is always willing to help around the school where needed.

The school board is pleased to present Kale with the Citizenship Award for recognition of the positive contributions he makes in his school and community. Congratulations!
