The new PHPS Board of Trustees conducted their first order of business at the October 25 meeting, electing Jennifer Tuininga to serve as Board chair for the remainder of the 2017-18 school year. Jackie Comeau will serve as Vice chair. As Board chair, Tuininga will preside over all board meetings, works with the superintendent to set the agenda for board meetings and is the spokesperson for the school board.

“I look forward to working as a new board and administrative team to serve the students, staff and communities of PHPS. We will continue to make decisions that are in the best interest of PHPS students, and align with the division’s focus on literacy and numeracy skills, student needs, and student-teacher relationships,” said Tuininga.
