Citizenship Award Winner – Dayce Madson

April 17th, 2019

Dayce Madson is a Grade 4 student at  École Westlock Elementary School. Teachers Rebecca Wolff, Shayla McRitchie, and Steve McKenna submitted the Citizenship Award nomination.  They outlined how Dayce is a very hard worker and is always positive.  No matter the situation in the classroom, Dayce approaches it with a positive attitude and a willingness to give it his very best! He can be found helping students who require assistance or encouraging them through tough situations.   It does not matter if Dayce is in school or the hockey rink, he goes out of his way to help people by holding doors open or to carry things for them.  He definitely displays unconditional kindness and genuinely cares about how other people feel.  Dayce set a goal this year to become a better reader and has worked hard all year to improve.  He can be found reading in his spare time and gets excited when he feels like he is getting closer to achieving his goals.

In recognition of making positive contributions to his school and community, the Board awards the Citizenship Award to Dayce!

Congratulations!!
